Another Successful Passage Crossing Completed!
Swim #19: "Swim for Shelter" was another hugely successful swim with $59,795 floating over to the New Phoebe House in Tacoma! Eighteen swimmers swam this year, 2 before the actual event as noted.
Jonah Bergerson was the fastest swimmer to ever do this swim finishing in 23:31! Also of note, Jonah swam without a wetsuit. He is only the second person to swim this course without a wetsuit. This year the timers did not log extra equipment that some swimmers use, such as fins or snorkel. I can safely say that Jonah did not wear fins or a snorkel! I will note swimmers that I am certain did not wear fins. Please send your favorite photos of the swim to Steve and they will be added.

Annual Beach Brunch is Once Again a Hit!
Approximately 36 neighbors attended this years brunch on the Beach. As usual the food was delicious with many homemade dishes. Weather was slightly on the chilly side but warmed as the day went on. Smoke from local fires (in fire pits) gave the attendees a campsite like feel.
An offshore happy hour took place on Tuesday, July 15th. This second of its kind event occurred on board a sailboat moored on a buoy just a stone's throw off of the Sutton home. Seven were in attendance. The appetizers were great, but the talk was even better!
Swim for shelter on July 29, 2023 was a huge success! 19 swimmers and well over 100 onlookers attended the event. Peninsula High Schools Jonah Bergerson came in first place at 22:29 a course record. Drew Kellerman became the first swimmer to cross without a wetsuit! $54,081 raised for the New Phoebe House.
