The inaugural summer stick contest ended in a three way tie. Local children were said to have spent "hours" trying to find the longest stick but when they held them all up to compare sticks were miraculously the same length. Unfortunately the photographer cut the top of the sticks off in the photo so we will never know for sure how the sticks compared!
